[Autumn 2022 in Sapporo] Day 1 - (Keio Prelia Hotel/Rokkatei/Uni murakami)

There are few hotels in Sapporo with more than four stars. But it didn't matter to me, who prioritized cost-effectiveness and location. Several accommodation sites found hotels that are inexpensive, up-to-date, and located near Sapporo Station. Among them, Keio Prelia Hotel was right for me. (I made a reservation through TRIP.COM, but I recommend you to check coupons or discount information on other sites.)

I share a satisfactory review. The bathroom was small, but there was no problem using it. You don't have to bring your pajamas from home. The Moderate Twin Room and Superior Twin Room differ only in coffee machines, so I recommend you to reserve a cheap room. And I recommend using a translation application for smooth communication when checking in. Breakfast consisted of various kinds of meat, vegetables, and seafood. There is a waiting time from 7:30 a.m., so it is better to come before 7 a.m. as much as possible. Also, there is a big bath on the second floor, so it is good to relieve the fatigue of the trip with hot water every day.

I went to a famous dessert shop called Rokkatei as my first tourist destination. I went to drink coffee, but the cafe on the second floor was already finished at 16:00. Only the dessert shop on the first floor was available. Fortunately, there was a chair on the first floor, so I could taste the dessert in the seat.

First, I bought a signature dessert, Marusei Ice Butter Sand, and tasted it in the seat. The size is small as shown in the picture below, but I was satisfied with the soft butter ice cream and raisins. I recommend you to eat enough it because you can't bring it to your country. I kept missing the taste even after I went back to Korea. I gained faith in the store through ice cream and bought additional castella and cookies.

For my wife who likes Uni(sea urchin), I went to a famous Uni restaurant in Sapporo for the first dinner. When I arrived 15 minutes before the opening, there was no waiting line and I was able to enter at the same time as the opening. (If you can speak Japanese, you can make a reservation by phone.) My wife ordered Unidong, the signature menu, and I ordered Kaisen-dong(Sashimi Rice Bowl).

My wife said that Unidong was fresh and soft, so it was like butter. It is said that if you mix rice with soy sauce, it is not greasy and delicious. Kaisen-dong was fresh and worth eating once. However, even though it was a small size, the price was more than 3,000 yen, so I don't recommend it if you're looking for cost-effectiveness.
